To Build a Cable
Parts
Futurlec is one of few places that has all 3 parts in one shop, where the centronics connector includes a strain relief, and lets you buy cable in short lengths.
- IDC Male Centronics Connector (scroll to bottom, get the MALE Centronics)
- 26P Female IDC Connector
- 26P flat cable (get 2 meters of "26 Core")
Directions
Very simple:
Just place the colored wire on the pin #1 position on both connectors.
Alternative: Standard parallel printer cable
Remove the nuts from the db25 plug on the motherboard cable, discard the metal bracket, re-install the nuts on the db25 plug.
