Past
- There was an NEC module on ebay for a while. These work in Model 100.
Strangely, although these are NEC modules with an NEC sram chip, and they do work in the NEC PC-8201/8201A, they aren't what you ever see installed in an NEC. PC-8201 always have the same purple ceramic modules as the TRS-80 Model 100.
NEC 72404582
Components:
- NEC D4364G-15L
- TIHC148 (aka 74HC148)
- Purple Computing
- There have actually been many 3rd-party ram modules, especially back when the Model 100 was current. Most are not listed here yet.
Other
There are also ram expansion accessories that connect to the system bus and either add extra banks of 32k to the internal ram, or replace the internal ram. These aren't normal ram modules that plug into the normal ram sockets. They plug in to the system bus cnnector and provide the entire 32K address space at once from there, as if all ram sockets were filled.
