Info, CAD, & 3D-Print files

  • Take the STL file and upload it to Shapeways to get high quality prints made.

Pictures

  • Original Molex carrier
  • Similar, compatible carrier made by EBY
  • 3D-Printed carriers in different materials from Shapeways

Even better version

  • This version is better in that it has deep pockets to bend the chip legs in to more securely.

CAD and print files for the better version

  • You can get these printed from 3dhubs right there from Thingiverse, but that will be a fairly low quality print. But you can also download the "thing files", which includes an STL file that you can submit to get printed anywhere else like Shapeways. Then in Shapeways you can opt for higher quality printing methods and higher quality materials.

PCB Carrier & PCB

This is a carrier and pcb that fit together to go into the option rom socket, usable in any computer that has this socket, not just Model 100/102/200.

PCB and Carrier Sources

This is a KiCAD file for a PCB that fits the carrier, and a FreeCAD file for the carrier.

The pcb has the necessary board outline to fit the carrier, and a custom footprint for the edge contacts, but is otherwise blank and ready for you to add your own circuit. A .step for the carrier is included in the KiCAD file for the 3d view.
